Product Manager, Ad Product
Product · Culver City, CA (Hybrid) · Full-Time · $48–$52/hr

Support advertising across a major entertainment company's direct-to-consumer streaming portfolio including AVOD and Live TV platforms. Mid-level PM role translating commercial and operational needs into clear workflows, coordinating campaign and platform readiness, and improving advertising delivery and reporting.

About the Role

We are partnering with a major entertainment company to hire a Product Manager, Ad Product to support advertising across its direct-to-consumer streaming portfolio, including AVOD and Live TV platforms. This is a hands-on, mid-level role for a product professional who can translate commercial and operational needs into clear workflows, coordinate campaign and platform readiness, and help improve advertising delivery, reporting, and partner support.

Working with guidance from Product and Monetization Leadership, this role will partner with Ad Operations, Commercial Partnerships, Engineering, QA, Data and Analytics, Content Operations, Marketing, vendors, and business teams. The Product Manager will own defined advertising operations workstreams and service improvements rather than setting ad product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Advertising Operations and Service Readiness

  • Own assigned ad product workstreams from intake and requirements through configuration, validation, launch readiness, and post-launch follow-up.
  • Gather campaign, commercial, technical, and operational requirements from internal teams and external partners, and document clear workflows, service needs, and validate proposed solutions.
  • Create operational requirements, process flows, checklists, acceptance criteria, troubleshooting guides, and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze customer behavior, operational metrics, and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with Ad Operations, Engineering, QA, Analytics, Marketing, Commercial Partnerships, and vendors to support campaign and platform readiness.
  • Proactively communicate clear and concise product status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and launch readiness to Product Leadership and key stakeholders.

Campaign Delivery and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned advertising workflows, campaign readiness questions, delivery issues, and partner feedback.
  • Track campaign and release dependencies, operational decisions, risks, and milestones, and escalate blockers to the appropriate lead.
  • Build productive relationships across Ad Operations, Engineering, Analytics, Commercial Partnerships, and external partners to resolve issues and improve advertising capabilities.
  • Coordinate deliverables with ad technology vendors, measurement partners, and third-party development teams as needed.
  • Participate in campaign planning, operational reviews, platform testing, release readiness, incident reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Help ensure campaign launches and operational deliverables meet approved schedules, specifications, and quality expectations.

Ad Delivery, Support, and Improvement

  • Partner with Ad Operations, QA, and Engineering to triage ad delivery issues, validate expected behavior, and confirm fixes.
  • Assist Customer Service and partner-facing teams with advertising-related questions and validation of reported playback or delivery issues.
  • Monitor available ad delivery, fill, error, playback, pacing, and reporting signals to identify operational issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Support day-to-day operation of launched advertising capabilities, including campaign setup readiness, ad serving integrations, measurement, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Recommend practical improvements to campaign execution, documentation, partner support, service reliability, reporting quality, and team efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, ad operations, product operations, campaign operations, business analysis, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience gathering operational or campaign requirements and translating them into clear workflows, documentation, checklists, user stories, or acceptance criteria.
  • Experience coordinating work across commercial, operational, technical, and partner teams.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities, follow through on commitments, and communicate risks or blockers clearly.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort using delivery and performance data to investigate issues, validate outcomes, and recommend operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with digital advertising operations, streaming, media, entertainment, or consumer technology.
  • Familiarity with FAST, AVOD, SVOD, SCTE-35 stream signals, or connected TV environments.
  • Exposure to digital video advertising, ad servers, SSAI/CSAI workflows, ad decisioning and campaign trafficking, VAST/VMAP or equivalent ad serving standards, and audience targeting.
  • Experience with inventory, pacing, targeting, frequency capping, brand safety, identity and measurement integrations.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Amplitude, Tableau, or similar collaboration and analytics tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile product development environment.

Technical Project Manager
Engineering · Culver City, CA (Hybrid) · Full-Time · $60–$65/hr

Hands-on Technical Project Manager to drive execution and delivery across FAST streaming technology initiatives at a major entertainment company. This role operates at the intersection of technical validation, engineering delivery, and program management — requiring direct API testing, SQL, and cross-functional leadership.

About the Role

We are partnering with a major entertainment company to hire a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to drive execution and delivery across FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) technology initiatives.

This is not a traditional project management role focused primarily on schedules, meetings, and status reporting. We are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of technical execution, testing and validation, engineering delivery, and program management. The TPM will work directly with internal engineering teams, product, QA, video operations, data teams, and external technology vendors. In addition to owning schedules, dependencies, risks, and delivery, this person will be expected to personally validate APIs, integrations, data flows, system behavior, and vendor deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation and is comfortable getting hands-on with APIs, SQL, logs, data, monitoring tools, and technical documentation. A previous background in software engineering, QA automation/SDET, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or another hands-on technical discipline is strongly preferred.

This role reports to the VP of Technology & Architecture.

Responsibilities

Technical Validation

  • Perform hands-on validation of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and platform functionality.
  • Independently validate technical deliverables and confirm that implementations meet requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Use SQL and data tools to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency and investigate discrepancies across systems.
  • Inspect API requests and responses, payloads, logs, and system outputs to identify integration or data issues.
  • Reproduce defects and partner with engineers and vendors to isolate root causes and validate fixes.
  • Support production validation and post-release monitoring to ensure systems are operating as expected.

Program Management & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead planning and execution across multiple concurrent technical initiatives.
  • Manage priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and deliverables across internal and external teams.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, retrospectives, and other engineering delivery processes.
  • Maintain clear and current project plans, technical documentation, decisions, risks, and action items.
  • Ensure communication and expectations remain clear across engineering, product, QA, video operations, data teams, and external partners.
  • Provide concise reporting on program status, technical risks, blockers, and key metrics to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability and follow-through across teams while maintaining strong working relationships.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of combined experience in software engineering, technical program/project management, QA/SDET, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience driving delivery within software or platform engineering organizations.
  • Strong technical foundation and ability to work directly with software engineers on implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience testing and validating REST APIs and system integrations.
  • Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to independently query and validate data.
  • Ability to understand system architecture and trace data or transactions through multiple interconnected services.
  • Experience investigating technical problems, reproducing defects, and working with engineering teams to identify root causes.
  • Experience defining technical acceptance criteria and validating software releases end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development practices and experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both engineers and senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with multiple concurrent initiatives.
Strongly Preferred
  • Previous professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience as a software engineer who transitioned into technical program/project management.
  • Background in QA automation/SDET, solutions engineering, systems integration, or platform engineering.
  • Experience writing scripts or using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for testing, data validation, automation, or troubleshooting.
  • Experience with FAST, OTT, or streaming video platforms.
  • Video processing and distribution workflows, content management and metadata, video playback and streaming technologies.
